Two American diplomats visit Haiti after special envoy's resignation – Haitian Times

Bridging the gap

Two American diplomats headed to Haiti to meet with political actors this week, following the resignation of Special Envoy Daniel Foote.
Assistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Brian A. Nichols, and Senior Director of the National Security Council for the Western Hemisphere, Juan Gonzalez, planned to discuss  democratic elections, the response to Haitian migration, security, support and rebuilding following the Aug. 14 earthquake, and the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the U.S. Embassy in Port-an-Prince.
Nichols, after the visit, said in a tweet that he met with representatives from civil society, including the Montana Group, to better understand their desires for Haiti’s future.
“We support inclusive Haitian-led solutions to Haitian challenges,” Nichols said.

Inclusive solutions means opposition oligarchs who sponsor and arm violent, terrorists militias throughout PaP will be include in Haiti’s governance. These men are responsible for the assassination of President Jovenel because he could not be bought by them. They are salivating for Haitian government contracts that total 5 billion dollars annually, for which they will kickback 50% to corrupt Haitian politicians, pocket the rest for themselves and not deliver any goods or services to the Haitian people. This is the modus operandi of opposition oligarchs who have terrorized 11 million Haitians since before President Jovenel won three elections. Their own people are slaves to their personal aggrandizement and the Core Group, 8 nations led by the US, know that they are traffickers and sponsors of terrorism but continue to include them in the destruction of beautiful Haiti and the oppression of the Haitian people that take to seas and dangerous Darien Gap to escape this aberration that the Americans call democracy.
Just another example of “show and tell” with no real solutions. I was in Camp Perrine to assist those devastated by the earthquake. I was told that not one…NOT ONE…government representative or aid organization had visited the area. I suspect that the envoys were “wined and dined” in the best of what Haiti “politicians” could offer while the most vulnerable continued to do all they can to survive.
