Money vs. people | News, Sports, Jobs – Marquette Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:
Recently, large ransoms were demanded in the kidnapping of 17 people in Haiti. Kidnappers throughout the world sell people for slaves.
The love of money comes out in other ways in people –robbers, drug dealers, deceptive business people, workaholics.
Love of money motivates many people to do wrong.
Actually, money is neutral — metallic coins and paper money. It is the love of money that is hurtful. “For the love of money is the root of all evil…” 1 Timothy 6:10.
We should not love money, but we should love people, all people, every person in the Upper Peninsula and everywhere.
