A pastor and his wife are dead after their home in Haiti was invaded.
Pastor Jean Philippe Quetant and his wife, Erna Plancher-Quetant were missionaries building a church and orphanage in Haiti but were shot and killed while their home was invaded, NBC2 reports.
The couple was from Fort Myers, Florida, and their family has been devastated by their sudden deaths.
Quetant and his wife had been serving in Haiti for about a month.
Kevin Quetant, son of the deceased couple, says his parent’s home was ransacked and many belongings were taken when they were killed.
“They were in their house where the invader came in and I guess found mom and dad, and shot both of them,” he says.

“They could have just taken everything and left them alone, they wouldn’t have done anything,” says Tabitha Quetant, the couple’s daughter.
“It just feels surreal.”
The couple had originally immigrated from the United States from Haiti. A GoFundMe page set up by the family to help bring the couple home says the their deaths were confirmed on Sept. 27.
They leave behind five children — Kevin, Nehemy, Dan A., Tabitha G., and Eleazar.
The family is asking for prayer as they navigate this time of mourning.
