Miss Haiti 2022 predictions: Mideline Phelizor, Paola Emmanuelle Aboite, Erline Edouard – CONAN Daily

Miss Haiti 2021 Pascale Bélony, 29, of Cap-Haïtien, Haiti will crown her successor at Hotel Villa Cana in Cap-Haïtien on August 12, 2022. It is the 21st edition of the national beauty pageant that selects Haiti’s Miss Universe candidate.
The title Miss Haiti was first held by Maria Bazelais in 1920 followed by Paulette Guichard in 1948, Claudinette Fourchard in 1960 and Edna Delinois in 1961. In 1962, Evelyn Miot became the first Miss Universe candidate from Haiti. finished in the Top 15 at Miss Universe 1962, making her the first woman representing Haiti to compete and place in Miss Universe.
Haiti was not represented in Miss Universe from 1963 to 1967, from 1969 to1974, in 1976, from 1978 to 1984, from 1986 to 1988 and from 1990 to 2009. From 2010 to 2015, Haiti was represented in Miss Universe by the Miss Haiti Universe winner.
Currently, Haiti has three Miss Universe placements including Miot’s Top 15 finish in 1962. Representing the Caribbean country, Gerthie David was runner-up to Miss Universe 1975 Anne Marie Pohtamo of Finland and Raquel Pélissier was runner-up to Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere of France.
The most recent Miss Haiti edition was held in 2019. Amid the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Eden Berandoive and Bélony were appointed to represent Haiti in Miss Universe in 2020 and in 2021, respectively.
There are eight women competing for the Miss Haiti 2022 crown. I believe these will be the three candidates who will make it to the top:
