CAP-HAITIEN — The primary way to watch “Vakans,” the first movie Olivier Martelly produced, was supposed to be through his streaming website, Stream With BigO. Martelly also planned to show the movie in theaters, including those in Haiti.
After premiering the movie at Little Haiti Cultural Center in Miami Feb. 6, the film became available on Stream with BigO last week. Martelly felt “proud” when people started streaming the movie.
But last week, things took a different turn when some critics of the Martellys started to put the full movie on YouTube, Facebook, Telegram and TikTok. Among the YouTube accounts that leaked the movie are DJ Fat G-mix the master and Vicky Jey.
