The Vassar Haiti Project and Greenwich’s Second Congregational Church will co-host the third bi-annual sale of Haitian paintings and handcrafts supporting art, education, health and sustainable development in villages in rural Haiti.This year Sheri Chin and Gordon Ng, local members of the community will be honored for their important contributions to the Greenwich community.
The event is a celebration of Haitian art and culture, showcasing over 200 original paintings and handcrafts. The hours of the sale are:
Friday, Feb. 10 6:30pm – 8:30pm (Opening Reception)
Saturday, Feb. 11 10:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday, Feb. 12 9:00am – 2:00pm
The event is free and open to the public.
Since 2001, the Vassar Haiti Project (VHP) has engaged thousands of people in the support and admiration of Haitian art. The resulting proceeds have funded sustainable development initiatives in 45 villages in the rural northwestern Haitian mountains.
