A Lake County Cheer coach arrested earlier this year for allegedly molesting students at his gym is now facing federal charges.
Vigiland D’Haiti was first arrested back in March after a months-long investigation by Clermont Police, who found evidence he molested three girls.
D’Haiti owned World Cheer Center in Clermont.
That’s where police say he met his victims. The gym shut down after his arrest.
Police say the girls were 14 and 15 years old at the time.
According to court documents, police seized D’Haiti’s cellphone at the time he was arrested.
It was there that federal investigators found over a dozen pornographic pictures and videos of his victims.
Investigators say D’Haiti exchanged inappropriate photos with at least one victim using the social media app, Snapchat.
He now faces charges of knowingly possessing child pornography in addition to the lewd and lascivious molestation charges he was arrested on in March.
