Jackboy Celebrates Haitian Flag Day with “Spittin Facts” Video – RESPECT.

A proud member of the bustling Haitian community in his native Pompano Beach, FL, Jackboy always stands up for his heritage and hometown. Continuing his tradition of dropping new songs on Haitian Flag Day, Jackboy shares Spittin Facts,” his latest missive. A fierce statement of loyalty to his close friends and family, “Spittin Facts” finds the young rapper alternating aggression and emotion with soaring melodies and clipped cadences. Directed by Shula The Don, the “Spittin Facts” video opens with a brief snapshot of poverty and protest in Haiti, and continues into Jackboy’s South Florida apartment, where he raps in front of the Haitian flag. Bringing a celebratory spirit to quarantined Haitians forced to observe their holiday indoors, “Spittin Facts” is Jackboy’s first new song since the release of JACKBOY, his new project.
Marked by production from Tay KeithKid HazelGo GrizzlyTNTxD, and many others, JACKBOY  reflects the artist’s wide-ranging tastes (he listens to Adele and Ed Sheeran more than he listens to any rapper), with instrumentals that range from the minimalist percussion-driven “Zombie World” to the East Asian tinge of Freedom Of Speech to the hyperactive synth of “Hate The B!tch.” The project inspired a long list of successful video singles, including clips for “1K” (746k YouTube views since its release last week), Pack A Punch” (1.2 million views), Won’t Understand” (2.3 million views), “Cleaning Crew” (3.6 million views), and breakout hit Pressure” (9.5 million views). Home to the Kodak Black-featuring Like A Million,” JACKBOY is the artist’s most successful album yet, propelling the rapper to the Top 300 of Rolling Stone’s Artist chart and pushing his Spotify monthly listener count past 1.1 million.

The hip-hop nation demands respect.
RESPECT. Magazine targets a sophisticated and intelligent reader, who desires a publication that speaks to them with class and visually has soul.
