Haitian Times publisher Garry Pierre-Pierre named Sulzberger Fellow

NEW YORK — Garry Pierre-Pierre of The Haitian Times was announced as one of Columbia Journalism School’s 2022 Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program Fellows on Dec. 9.
The program, which was founded in 2005 by the sisters of New York Times publisher Arthur Ochs Sulzberger, offers leaders from different organizations a five-month residency to complete projects aligning with their publication’s mission.
“I am very excited for this award and for the chance to develop a project that will further expand our audience,” said Pierre-Pierre. “It is a great opportunity and I am eager to work with other journalists from all over the world.”
