Haiti FW Jeudy's dreams coming true in Concacaf – Concacaf

In addition to helping Violette win the 2022 FCCCC, Jeudy earned the Best Young Player Award at that tournament for his two semifinal goals in the team’s 3-1 win over Waterhouse of Jamaica.
SAN PEDRO SULA, Honduras – 2022 has already been a big year for Haiti FW Steevenson Jeudy, and there is a chance it could become even greater by year’s end.
Last month, Jeudy was part of the Violette AC team that won the 2022 Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship, earning the Haitian side a place in the 2023 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League.
Now, a month later, Jeudy is once again shining under the bright lights of Concacaf competition, scoring four goals in the group stage of the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-20 Championship, helping Haiti reach the knockout round and a Round of 16 date with Jamaica on Sunday.
“Our goal is to go as far as possible. Qualifying for the second round is the fruit of our hard work. We are heading to the right direction,” said Jeudy in an exclusive interview with Concacaf.com.

At age 17, Jeudy has rapidly emerged as one of the rising stars in the Concacaf region and is showcasing his goal-scoring acumen on the big stage by becoming the tournament’s joint-top scorer in the group stage.
Some young players might be intimidated by having to shoulder the scoring burden for their side. That is certainly not the case with Jeudy.
“Scoring goals for my country is a great pride. I am doing it at this level (U 20) and I want to keep on doing for the national senior team. This is a childhood dream come true.
“Scoring for my club and the national team is my job. My teammates make me the attack leader and that reinforces my confidence,” said Jeudy.
In addition to helping Violette win the 2022 FCCCC, Jeudy earned the Best Young Player Award at that tournament for his two semifinal goals in the team’s 3-1 win over Waterhouse of Jamaica.
“Winning the trophy of best young player of the last Concacaf tournament with Violette is a reward for my talents. This was possible because of the support of the leaders of the team, the coaching staff and my teammates,” said Jeudy.
The task at hand for Jeudy and Haiti to is reach the semifinals of the CMU20 and punch their ticket to the FIFA Men’s Under-20 World Cup, and also try to become one of the two teams to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics by reaching the CMU20 Final, something that would be a “dream come true” for Les Grenadiers.
But Jeudy also has his sights set on lifting his club side to the highest level and help bring a second Concacaf club title home to Violette.
“With Violette, we want to repeat the feat of 1984 and win the trophy of Concacaf Champions League. We are very excited. This the goal of everyone in the team. We are going to try. We are moving forward slowly and quietly,” concluded Jeudy.
