PORT-AU-PRINCE —The Haitian Women soccer team defeated Mexico 3-0 during their second Concacaf W 2022 playoff game for the Women’s 2023 World Cup at the BBVA stadium in Monterey, on July 7.
“We had a great game, That’s what’s important and I am happy.” Melche Dumornay said média FHF. . She also thanked the Haitian people and promised to fight to have Haiti qualify for the World cup.
After being defeated by the US Women’s team 3-0 in its very first match on July 4, the Haitian selection redeemed itself. The goals were scored by Roselor Borgella on a penalty in the 14 minutes. Nehlia Mondesir also took a penalty in the 67 minute and a goal from Sherly Jeudi in the 78 minute.
