GOOD DEEDS: Premier Sotheby's agent helps nonprofit pay for home in Haiti – Sarasota Herald-Tribune

Premier Sotheby’s International Realty sales associate Kevin Milner recently partnered with New Story to fully fund the construction of a home in Haiti.
New Story, a nonprofit organization, provides safe homes in the developing world. The charity also creates jobs and stability for these communities by hiring local laborers and purchasing materials in the areas where they’re working to boost the economy. 
Milner focuses on serving others through a variety of organizations, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Tim Tebow Foundation and St. Jude’s.   
Milner is based in Premier Sotheby’s Lakewood Ranch office. He has nearly two decades of real estate experience and is ranked among the top 4% of all agents in production in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast received $4,500 from the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation for its Decision to Win program.
The goal of the Decisions to Win one-to-one mentoring initiative is to help at-risk high school students remain in school, earn promotion to the next grade level and graduate from high school. DTW serves students in grades 10-12.

The Ormond W. Dixon Charitable Foundation awarded $3,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast for youth enrichment and the advancement of the youths served in the program in the Englewood area.

BankUnited awarded $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast for its One to One Mentoring Program for Sarasota and Manatee County high school students, with a focus on financial literacy, high school graduation and a viable plan for a financially secure future (through enrollment in higher education, the military or employment that can offer financial stability).

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast received a $4,000 grant from the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund of Manatee Community Foundation for its One to One Mentoring Program, as well as 30 ACT books and headphones for college entrance exam preparation for Lakewood Ranch/East Manatee County students.
