Fast-Moving Fire Destroys Family's Home in Miami's Little Haiti Neighborhood – NBC 6 South Florida

A Miami family is out of a home after it was destroyed by a fast-moving fire early Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at the efficiency home at 254 Northwest 59th Terrace in Little Haiti around 4:45 a.m., according to officials.
When they arrived, fire rescue crews found smoke and flames coming from the home.
The crew initiated a quick fire attack, getting the fire under control within five minutes, officials said.
They also conducted a primary search, which was all clear for any victims.
Two adults and a dog were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived. One of the adults was evaluated by paramedics on the scene but did not require hospital transport.

“The fire was knocked down so quickly that we were able to protect the neighboring exposures, because as you can see these houses are very close together. Luckily it was isolated to the home of origin,” Miami Fire Rescue’s Pete Gomez said.
The Miami Fire Investigation Unit was requested to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
No further information is available. Check back with NBC 6 for updates.
