Colombian charged over plot to murder Haitian president – The Times

A former member of the Colombian military has been charged in the United States with participating in a scheme to kill or kidnap President Moïse, who was assassinated in Haiti last July.
Mario Antonio Palacios, 43, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder or kidnapping outside the US and “providing material support resulting in death, knowing or intending that such material support would be used to prepare for or carry out the conspiracy to kill or kidnap”, the Department for Justice said in a statement.
The department has alleged that Palacios and others, including approximately 20 Colombians and a group of Haitian-Americans, participated in the assassination plot.
