Biden expelled as many Haitians as his three predecessors – Prensa Latina

Since the Democrat entered the White House in January 2021, at least 20,200 migrants were returned to Haiti, compared to 21,900 in the administrations of George Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
The report quoted by the newspaper Le Nouvelliste, recalls that in addition to the official figures, another eight thousand Haitians voluntarily returned to Mexico, in the midst of the migratory crisis that took place last September, when more than 15 thousand of them arrived at the Del Rio border city bridge, in one of the largest displacements in recent years.
According to data from the Quixote Center, a U.S. social justice organization founded in 1976, the Bush administration deported 9,100 Haitians, especially after the September 11, 2001 attacks and the militarization of the borders in general.
For his part, Obama returned six thousand 650 and another six thousand 150 were returned during Trump’s four years, although about half of the latter were thanks to Barack’s policies.
Biden’s deportations continued despite the crisis in Haiti that suffered an earthquake in August with a death toll of more than 2,200, and while political discrepancies persist after the assassination of President Jovene Moïse, in addition to violence with the widespread control of armed gangs in strategic areas of the country.
