21 migrants from Haiti detained on Peanut Island – WPBF West Palm Beach

Nearly two dozen people were turned over to Border Patrol Wednesday after they were seen on Peanut Island.

It happened at about 2 p.m. after a park ranger saw a large group of people grouped together.

“It’s believed that they came over on a sailboat and docked at Peanut Island,” Palm Beach County deputies said.
Officials said they believe the 21 migrants are from Haiti. The group includes 19 adults and two children, according to deputies.
